Configuring TPLINK Broadband Modem

Configuring DSL Modem is easy and important task to make your internet run.Without  proper configuration of modem internet will not work. Configuration of modem mean opening the memory of modem and then changing the parameter of modem to make it work.


 Connect your modem with your computer through LAN wire or Ethernet cable.Check the IP Address setting of your computer and change it to automatic setting.Click here to change ip Setting to automatic .


STEP 1.Open any browser  like Internet Explorer,Firefox or Chrome and type 192.18.1.1 in URL






Step2. Default username and password  for modem is admin.


         Username  admin
          Password    admin



Step 3 Click on Interface then click on internet and select PVC 02 for BSNL setting

VPI=0

VCI=35






STEP 4  Check the ISP setting on PPPOA/PPPOE  and enter the username  and password provided by service provider









Step 5: Click on Save.


Now check the internet by surfing net on browser.

Change IP address in windows

Change  IP address of your computer in windows.If your computer has static ip  address and you want to change it then follow the following steps.

 First check your ip address setting in computer  by clicking on the following order

 Control panel>View Network Status and task->Change Adapter setting->Ethernet

Click on change Adapter setting

Right click on Ethernet and then click on properties

Click on TCP IPV4 and then click on properties and now new windows will open click it on "Obtain an IP address automatically " and "obtain DNS server address"

Then close window and your computer will have no ip address now. Modem will automatically provide ip address to your machine
